Honing his skills on the underground scene of Manchester, Danny Russell’s been a constant feature at many of the city’s most reputable venues from The Attic and Zumbar to Bluu and Sankeys. With a musical maturity advanced beyond his years his sets are energetically delivered with a tight precision that amalgamates Balearic house and deep disco into one sizzling blend of sounds.
An ardent vinyl collector since ’97 his musical philosophy is built upon robust and creative foundations. Favourite imprints include such bastions of sounds as Sound Signature, Disco Deviance, Rüf kütz, West End, Salsoul, Balihu and Tommy Boy. Whilst as a DJ he’s been capturing the mood of the dancefloor since ’98 and putting this crate digging talents to work as a proud ‘Audio Architect’.
Now based in Berlin, Danny’s story continues upon a new canvas set right in the motherland of electronic music...

Brian Ring (Running Back)
Last November, Running Back released Movements, the first offering from Berlin-based Irishman Brian Ring. The three tracks, which all channel a disco-infused house sound, are, according to the label, an “intentionally unintentional tribute to the late and great Tee Scott,” the legendary New York disco era DJ.

After the release of “The Great Blue Scar” in 2004, Yann comes back with "Let Me Be Mine", a whole new songbook airy, cinematographic pop album (with some references to Ennio Morricone but also Fleetwood Mac). The young Parisian has taken the time to let his ideas mature in the studio and on stage, to imagine unbelievable effects (like his famous "dolphin” voice), to dare astonishing covers, to listen to a 1000 albums like an alchemist looking for the philosopher's stone. Hektik [premiere]
Hektik is the new monthly event at Berlin's repeat bar, and as the name suggests, it is being curated by the resident Georg Hekt. For a premiere it is appropriate to have some kind of exclusive program, and we have prepared one such: Charlie Smooth Edmondson Georg Hekt
Charlie Smooth, one of the finest disco and house selectors around, will be presenting a special set, namely edits of old groovy tunes that he has produced himself. This is a rare chance to hear so many of those tracks at once.
Edmondson, who has been a frequent guest on previous occasions, will be joining the gang to add his blend of rolling beats.

PINK BUSINESS
Pink Business is a Seoul-based ambient-noise band. Formed in 2015 with members consisting of Sung Sig Min (computer guitar, keyboard), Nahm Hyun (guitar, circuit bending inst.), Gay Gonjo (voice, bass), they experiment with the boundaries of music using distorted sounds and building them up with layers. They make an impression of improvisation with their sounds, but also compose specific scenes with sounds and tell them in a narrative.

Anders Blickmann -
His artistic journey began some years ago, probably boosted by his first steps into the world of radio in 2005. He's a radio broadcaster since the tender age of 18 and he currently hosts several radio shows on electronic music (experimental music, techno and house) on Radio Universidade de Coimbra (Portugal). His sets move in a spectrum that can lead from the weirdest abstract texture to more conventional techno and house.

BAXA a.k.a Hwangbaxa is a DJ and producer from Seoul who has found the way to Berlin.
As a child of the 80's music is inspired by funk, house and disco sound exactly that warm this year. Its mission is to carry out this heat in the world and thus to make especially the women on this planet happy. His sound is characterized by Italo Disco, Rare Funk, RnB, 80s House and Deep House. Be issued up with him on a musical journey between Seoul and Berlin.

For Fausto, being a DJ started around 1990, when he started playing a mixture of genres from Vinyl, CD and Tapes (yes, Tapes) to his schoolmates at his local school club. By the year 1996 he had his own weekly club night at the local discotheque. From late 1997 on, he then hosted a weekly 2-Hour Radio Show playing electronic music at a local station called "StHörfunk".
The next step was a Job for the then biggest independet music distributor in Germany called EFA. He worked for their dance department as a product manager From 2000-2002. During his years in Hamburg, he was resident DJ in several Bars such as LeFonque, BP1, Daniela Bar, Tiefenrausch and some more.
After this, He had a job as the Editor of the Deutsche Club Charts (DCC) and also worked as a DJ-Promotoer at Public Propaganda, Hamburg from 2002-2003.
from 2003-2004 He used to work for a small club in Hamburg called "Tanzhalle St.Pauli" as a booker and also played records there every now and then. In 2004 he also released two tracks on styrax records and lebensfreude records and counseled both labels in order to give both of them them a successful kick-off. In Early 2005 He was offered a job at an agency called interactbooking in Berlin and moved there, booking concerts and tours for the likes of I am X, The Sofa Surfers, Louie Austen, Jake The Rapper, Friedrich Liechtenstein, Client and many others. from 2007-2011 He took a break from both deejaying and the music business and studied musicology and media studies at Humboldt Universität Berlin instead, writing album critics for a german music magazine called Raveline alongside.
Today, he is resident DJ at the discoNodisco floor at the “Wedding Present Festival”, Playing every 2nd saturday of the month at Brunnen70.

Rumours of a wild "Yajuu" (beast) roaming the Japanese mountains were heard frequently throughout the 90's causing much fear and hysteria.
Finally in the late 00's he was hunted down and caught. After much training this never seen before large, hairy, bipedal humanoid was taught to speak, read and most amazingly produce and mix! Mysteriously disappearing from Japan it is said you can sometimes hear his jacking House vibes howling through the berlin streets late at night…

An- Tonic /Detroit/ feat. Chalique -
DJ Foxxx worked with Parliament Funkadelics/George Clinton as a singer. Then Bootsy Collins discovered his speaking voice and transformed the name to An-Tonic.
An-Tonic made various house music projects including Boosting Chemistry with the Bongoloverz featured on Soulfuric and the Power of Music. Further projects with Andy Holder called The Pleasure Dome and Into Dance with Dean Saunders. The current upcoming release coming out on Rejoice Records is called Dance Visibly and more releases ahead.

Ahu -
Ahu Karimi is an Iranian producer & dj currently living in Berlin. Ahu is his main moniker. Ahi also records as Sohrab. Unlike many people in the Berlin scene, he came to the city rather accidentally; although perhaps nothing in this world happens just ‘accidentally’. 5 years ago he got invited to play his first gig in Europe at a Touch Music night at Berghain. Being invited and given the chance to perform his music in front of an enthusiastic audience and without having the fear of getting raided by the police, as would happen in Tehran, he decided to stay in Berlin even though he was not legally allowed to do so, and his future was not clear. 5 years on and many things have changed, but one thing stayed the same: passion, love & belief in Music. Sohrab continues to work exclusively with Touch Music, Ahu walks on a boundary-less path, whether it is his own productions or extended & deeply emotional after hours dj sets, to his new but already well sought after vinyl only record label 'Shahr Farang’. Third Ear Recordings will also release an Ahu ep in September this year.

Elena is a dj with a solid background. She started djing after she was drummer in a punk rock band in the early 90's.
